Your case is our commitment.
Our talented volunteers and generous donors have donated their time and resources to solve your toughest unidentified missing persons cases. We provide all services pro bono, including the lab work needed to obtain a SNP DNA profile and unlimited hours of investigative genetic genealogy research.
We help you navigate IGG through every step of the process.
Sample Selection – Our IGG experts will work with you to assess the remains in your custody to select the best sample to proceed to the lab.
Lab Options – We have vetted the best labs, and we’ll help you submit your sample for DNA testing to produce a SNP DNA profile.
Uploads – We upload to the three databases that have consented to law enforcement cases: GEDmatch Pro, FamilyTreeDNA, and DNA Justice.
Investigative Genetic Genealogy – We carefully assess the skills of our corps of volunteers and perform background checks to ensure your case is handled with professionalism and integrity. And, we invest in their continuing education to ensure we put the best researchers on every case.
Reliable Communication – Throughout the work on your case, you’ll get meaningful updates on the progress of our team, and we’ll suggest ways you can support the research work.
Actionable Answers – When our research ends, you’ll receive a lead report including names and contact information for DNA relatives who can help you confirm our identification work.
